About Andy Ackerman
I am the Broker and Owner of EXIT Realty Charleston Group which serves the Greater Charleston, SC Real Estate Market. Our company has four office locations including Mount Pleasant, Goose Creek, Sullivans Island, and West Ashley. I began my career in Real Estate with EXIT Lowcountry Realty in November of 2002. I immediately developed a passion not only for Real Estate but for EXIT Realty. EXIT was in the beginning stages of what it has come to be as a major player in the Real Estate industry both on a national and a local level. I saw the big picture and knew from the very beginning that one day I would play a larger part in this exploding company. I was only 24 years old and just a recent graduate of the College of Charleston, but knew I had found my calling.
My career got off to a hot start and I was the top listing agent for my office in my first full year. Since then I have successfully represented many clients in various real estate transactions. I have in depth experience in both the residential and commercial real estate markets. In the residential market I have represented clients in both the sale and the purchase of homes. In the commercial market my representation has included land acquisition, project management, due diligence studies, consulting, including sales and leasing. I am also an avid real estate investor. I have bought and sold real estate in the Charleston area with a focus on multifamily properties. My most notable project was the redevelopment of the Amherst Village in Historic Downtown Charleston which I currently own as a multiunit apartment building.
As soon as I was able to get my broker’s license, I opened my own office, EXIT Coastal Realty. After 18 months in operation, I was given an incredible opportunity to join forces with EXIT Realty Charleston Group. I am working to build EXIT Realty Charleston Group through intentional design to be a Real Estate Company that honors production and success. I am focused on teaching and training agents so that they have knowledge that far exceeds that of which the consumer expects and deserves. My focus is to be better, not bigger. I have high expectations for our company and our agents.
I am a South Carolinian and I have resided in Charleston for 13 years. I grew up in Greenwood, SC but visited Charleston every year. I came to the College of Charleston and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. I currently reside in Mt Pleasant with my two dogs Roscoe and Corrina. I am sports nut, a huge Clemson fan, and an avid golfer. I love live music and take any opportunity I can to travel.
